Implementation
Implementation is where change gets delivered. Most commonly this involves a system implementation where we perform business project management and/or business analysis to ensure the successful delivery of the system. Implementation can also involve change management or business process engineering in which new policies or processes need to be embedded within an organisation.
InteDelta is not a software vendor, but we work with vendors to ensure that systems are implemented to a client’s satisfaction. Where a development requirement exists that cannot be met by a client’s IT department or an external vendor, we have a strategic alliance with an IT consultancy, Net2S, to provide IT development to clients’ requirements.
We believe a successful implementation requires both an understanding of project management and business analysis techniques and subject matter expertise. Our implementation consultants are trained in formal techniques for managing projects and conducting analysis. They are not, however, generalists who spend their time tracking action points but leave the difficult implementation issues to the client to solve. We bring subject matter expertise and will help to solve implementation issues as they arise.

We initially produced a high level functional requirements document and a roadmap for how this would be delivered over the coming years. This involved helping the client to clarify its policy and methodology in a number of areas.
We produced a business case for the system which included an analysis of the build or buy options.
We identified a shortlist of potential vendors that would meet the client’s requirements and, in conjunction with the client, produced the questionnaire for the Request for Proposal and scored the responses submitted by the vendor.
We performed business analysis in relation to the implementation of the first phase of the system and wrote the functional requirements specification.
We also provided systems development and business analysis for a number of tactical systems initiatives.
